PVR PRESENTER

Pete

Back On The Airwaves... Eventually

Pete's connection with radio goes back to the late 1980s, when he worked as a trainee engineer at Nottingham's Trent FM. While he was usually found behind the scenes rather than behind a microphone, he also spent time supporting presenters and producing content for some of the station's DJs.

After radio, Pete went on to build a successful career in technical entertainment, spending more than a decade working as a sound engineer and entertainment production manager. His work took him from London's West End theatres to some of the world's largest cruise ships, delivering productions for audiences numbering in the thousands.

In 2006, Pete swapped the entertainment industry for a new challenge, moving into the railway, construction and technology sectors, where he has remained ever since. Despite the career change, his passion for radio, music and live entertainment never disappeared.

Today, Pete brings that unique mix of broadcasting, live production, engineering and technology experience to this station. While you'll often find him helping behind the scenes with technical projects, he's delighted to be back in the world of radio after a break of only a few decades.
Some people call it a comeback. Pete prefers to think of it as a very long tea break.
