PVR Community Radio is pleased to welcome local resident Pete Sims to its growing team of volunteers, bringing with him a wealth of technical and engineering experience to support the station's ongoing development.

Pete joins PVR in a behind-the-scenes role, helping to maintain and enhance the station's technical infrastructure, supporting broadcast operations, and assisting with future engineering projects. His extensive background in technology, communications systems, and problem-solving is expected to be a valuable asset as the station continues to expand its services to listeners across the area.

While Pete's initial focus will be on technical support and engineering assistance, he has not ruled out the possibility of stepping behind the microphone in the future. "I'll be concentrating on helping the station from a technical perspective for now," Pete said. "Community radio plays an important role in bringing people together, and I'm looking forward to supporting the team and helping keep everything running smoothly. As for presenting, never say never!" The addition reflects PVR's continued commitment to strengthening both its on-air and off-air capabilities through local volunteers who are passionate about serving the community.

A spokesperson for PVR said: "We're delighted to welcome Pete to the team. Having volunteers with strong technical skills is incredibly important for a modern radio station, and we're excited to have his knowledge and experience on board." PVR Community Radio is always interested in hearing from local people who would like to become involved, whether through presenting, production, technical support, fundraising, or helping behind the scenes.

Listeners can follow PVR for further updates as the station continues to grow and develop new ways to serve the local community.
